Optimization of Analytical Procedures with Plackett-Burman Design
Abstract
Reduced factorial design invented by Plackett and Burman in 1946, which reduces the number of experiments necessary for the determination of important variables in regression, is compared with the corresponding full factorial design. The calculation procedure is explained in detail using published data; some errors in literature are pointed out. Problems with confounding and how to avoid them are presented.Downloads
